Looking for a reformer pilates studio in Marple? Mood Reformer (formerly Ballantyne Studio) is a classical reformer pilates studio, located in the heart of Marple. Whether you come to classes for a break from your busy world, to recover from an injury, to build your strength, to improve mental health or you are looking for a community, you are welcome to join. We have a team of experienced and highly-qualified instructors who are passionate about helping you move your body in a safe, low-impact way.

REFORMER PILATES

Reformer pilates is a revolutionary workout that combines traditional pilates techniques with the innovative Reformer machine—a unique bed equipped with adjustable weight resistance springs. Reformer pilates is low-impact workout that allows you to strengthen, stretch and tone all at once. Our classes will help you improve strength, co-ordination, balance, flexibility, posture and more.

OUR STUDIO

Mood Reformer (formerly Ballantyne Studio) was founded by Kate Ballantyne who had the goal of creating a space in which she could share her unique expertise on reformer pilates.

Her lifetime involvement in the world of fitness, including instructing swimmers and synchronised swimming of all ages, informs her knowledge of the way our bodies move. Our studio is built with the passion and love Kate, and all our instructors, have for reformer pilates.

Our main focus (apart from fun!) is on form. In our classes, you will experience classical reformer pilates - controlled movements, mindful breathing and full mind/body alignment.

Above the age of 16, we welcome everyone, no matter the ability, no matter the age.

I signed up as soon as I saw an advert for Ballantyne Studio. By late August I went to my regular chiropractor appointment and for the first time in years - she had nothing to do!
